What is BYOK AI?
BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) AI refers to white-label AI products where the reseller connects their own API key from an upstream AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) instead of relying on bundled inference. The reseller pays the AI provider directly for usage and the white-label platform handles only the wrapper layer (branding, UI, customer accounts).
How BYOK Works
A BYOK platform provides the front-end product — for example a branded chatbot widget — but routes API calls through the reseller's own AI provider account. The reseller enters their OpenAI or Anthropic API key into the platform, and all customer-driven AI usage hits their account, billed directly by the provider.
